Mission

To support healthy birth outcomes, positive early childhood development, and school readiness, and preparation for healthy productive adulthood by providing and assuring access to quality maternal and child health services.

Accomplishments

Received a 2016 Virginia Apgar Prematurity Campaign Leadership Award for a 10.4% reduction in the statewide preterm birth rate from 2010 to 2015.
