How to Get Licensed

Applications-

Renewal applications are sent out 60 days before your expiration date. If you have lost your renewal application or did not receive one contact us for a new copy.

You may be required to complete an initial training course, pass a state licensing exam, have a blood lead test, and/or pay a fee to apply for a lead professional license. Specific requirements vary by license type.

Submit an initial application

Mail your license application with all required paper work and fees to the address noted on the form. Please allow 15 days for your application to be processed. If the application is complete, signed, and includes the correct fee, you will be notified to come to the Department for a photo ID.

Continuing Education/Training

You may be required to complete a refresher training course, have a blood lead test, and/or pay a fee to renew a lead professional license. Specific renewal requirements vary by license type.
